Around noon, a black hearse brought to the church coffin with Cutugno decorated with white roses. Parish priest Gianluigi Panzeri, who conducted funeral ceremony, remembered how many fans Toto Cutugno had.

Condolences on the death of Toto Cutugno expressed many politicians and artists. Morandi called him "the author and performer of the great Italian tradition", and Adriano Celentano wrote, that Toto will remain an unforgettable and great man.
Yesterday it became known that Celentano wrote Cutugno Farewell letter. In it, he told why he refused to perform the song "Italian" written for him by Cutugno. Celentano did not like chorus with the words "I'm a real Italian." The artist wrote that these words would probably sound insincere: "Saying these words, I seem to wanted to rise."
