BYD Auto has shared the first official images of its new models. It's an SUV called the Leopard 5, which should go to sale during the year.





Technical details about the car at the moment are extremely few. The company revealed that the SUV is a hybrid with a margin travel up to 1200 kilometers. The power plant includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a very high compression ratio (15.5: 1), and at the heart of The model is based on the new BYD DM platform.

Judging by the pictures, the angular Leopard 5 has proportions classic SUV, short overhangs and hanging on the door spare trunk. At the same time, in the design of the machine, one can find similarities with modern Land Rover Defender and Toyota Land Cruiser 250, for example.
