The leader of the Norwegian Red Party was caught stealing glasses and resigned

The head of the Norwegian left-radical party Rodt ("Reds") Bjornar Moksnes was caught stealing glasses at Oslo airport and after the "illness" resigned. The socialist avid for expensive brands really liked the glasses from Hugo Boss for 1199 NOK (somewhere a little more than $ 110). He tried them on and could not part. After conferring with his companion, the politician took glasses from the stand and left the store.

The shoplifter was quickly identified. The police fined him 3,000 crowns and confiscated his glasses with the price tag torn off. Later, the politician said that he accidentally put the glasses in his luggage and took them out of the store. He claimed that when he found glasses in his pocket, he panicked and therefore tore off the price tag. Despite the fact that the party expressed confidence in the words of the head of the Reds, Bjornar Moksnes took a sick leave, upon leaving which he announced his resignation.

During elections, right-wing parties stigmatize the "Reds" as "supporters of Stalin's genocide and communist dictatorship."
