Major General of the Russian Army Ivan Popov made an appeal

The commander of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Major General Ivan Popov (Spartak), made an appeal in which he announced his resignation from his post and the reasons for it.

Popov reports that he raised questions about the lack of counter-battery combat, artillery reconnaissance posts and, as a result, the death of Russian soldiers in connection with this.

According to the major general, the issues he raised at the highest level led to his lightning resignation in one day.

"Our army failed to break through from the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we were hit from the rear by the senior commander. Treacherously and vilely beheading the army at the most difficult and tense moment," Popov summed up.
