A visitor to an amusement park in North Carolina noticed a crack in a roller coaster's support post while people were riding it. Jeremy Wagner posted on social media that he discovered a crack in the structure of the Fury 325 at the amusement park and notified officials, who temporarily closed the attraction.
A spokesman for the park, which is located outside of Charlotte, said that the maintenance team is inspecting the attraction and it is closed indefinitely. A large crack, at least thirty centimeters long, was found in the upper part of the steel support post, and the administration does not name the reason for its possible appearance and the timing of the troubleshooting.
According to the theme park's website, the Fury 325 is "North America's tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster." The slide develops speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour, they have a maximum height of one hundred meters, followed by a sharp drop of 81 degrees.
