The basic version of the pickup is now equipped with a 2.4-liter turbo engine developing 231 hp and 329 Nm in combined with an eight-speed "automatic" (previously used six-range) and rear-wheel drive with a "samoblock". For more expensive forced modification of this motor and the possibility of replace the "automatic" with a six-speed manual. Tacoma has become a hybrid for the first time: a new one is being installed on a pickup truck version of the i-Pro Max power plant.
