A lion awakened from anesthesia almost tore rescuers in South Africa

A rescue operation to move a wild predator in a conservation area near the city of Bloemfontein (the center of the Free State province, South Africa) could have ended in tragedy.

A huge lion, under the influence of tranquilizers, while moving into the back of a car, woke up and scared the rescuers away

One of the participants in the operation captured an exciting moment and wrote in the comments to the story that the beast fell asleep a little later and, fortunately, did not injure anyone.

Ultimately, the predator was examined by veterinarians and was moved to a favorable habitat.
