Boston Dynamics robots will work in the New York police (2 photos)

The New York Police Department is resuming use robops Digidog. Previously, New York authorities faced negative public reaction to the use of robots in the ranks of the guards law enforcement.





Digidog (in fact, this is the same robot dog Spot) - four-legged a remote-controlled robot created by Boston Dynamics, which is designed to work in situations that pose a threat to life and human health, e.g. at construction sites or hazardous productions.



In 2020, the NYPD already used Digidog to intelligence during a situation where an armed terrorist barricaded inside the building. However, the public began criticize the government for surveillance and overarmament of the police, therefore the police then terminated the contract with Boston Dynamics, but it seems that progress cannot be stopped and the mayor of the city has now decided to go to the end in using the latest technologies.
