A car with children fell into a pit with boiling water
On April 5, in St. Petersburg, at the intersection of Drovyanoy and Rizhsky Prospekt, a hot water pipe burst into a gully into which a Toyota crossover fell, along with a pensioner and his two grandchildren. Locals say that this is not the first time in this place.
A 65-year-old crossover driver and a 10-year-old boy needed medical attention. They were taken to the hospital with burns. Three rescuers were also injured. They were also hospitalized. The 6-year-old girl was not hurt.
It turned out that the 34-year-old rescuer, who pulled people out of the car, is now in serious condition in intensive care with 40% of body burns. Another 24-year-old rescuer received moderate burns. A 10-year-old boy is in the Children's Multidisciplinary Clinical Center with moderate burns. His grandfather and another 57-year-old man also received moderate injuries.
The prosecutor's office of the Admiralteisky district organized an inspection. A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Performance of work and provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life and health of consumers."
