The news from Turkey has been sad lately, but even at a time like this there is room for a smile.
Search dog Pena, along with his trainers Dersim Bulut and Niyazi Ozbek have been working on the rubble in the city of Malatya, which was badly damaged after the earthquake.
During search and rescue operations, all 4 legs of Pena were severely cut due to broken windows in the rubble, the cuts were so so deep that veterinarians had to sew them up. But the dog did not want to give up and even after this continued to rush to the destroyed houses.
Rescuers had to bandage the bandages on the paws of Pena with protective tape and let the dog out in search again. Thanks to her through the efforts of 5 people were found alive.
At the moment, the cuts on the paws have healed and Pena continues her work with the rescuers.
