Samurai luck: the guy found a real katana in the garbage (13 photos)

What is rubbish for one is treasure for another, as they say? So the hero of this post picked up a lot of such treasures, working part-time in university: according to him, when students leave for the summer, they throw away everything that does not fit in the car, even expensive and completely new things. He found smartphones, and game consoles, and computers, and even teeth (??), but this find clearly exceeded all his expectations.





This long golden box just lay in the trash can, like as if waiting for our hero. In the past, he had run into pretty nasty stuff (teeth again??), so now he always opens such boxes with great care.



But this time he was in for a pleasant surprise!





Yes, this is a real katana! And she looks like she landed in this trash can straight from the set of Kill Bill.



We take off the scabbard ... Or is it called "saya"?






Yes, this is really the coolest samurai sword in excellent condition!



Inside the box was a smaller box - judging by the inscription, for storage of care and cleaning products. Also inside was an envelope - possibly a certificate of authenticity.

Even if it's a fake with no value, it's still incredibly cool find. Might even be worth digging through a dump full of alien teeth...
