Accident with KamAZ and minibus in Volgograd
On January 18, in Volgograd, at the intersection of Peschanaya and Sasha Chekalina streets, a 19-year-old KamAZ driver drove through a red traffic light and collided with a Peugeot minibus. Three public transport passengers were killed.
The minibus was thrown onto a Kia Rio car moving in the opposite direction.
“The collision of a truck and a fixed-route taxi happened around 14.30. As a result of the accident, three passengers died, one of whom was a minor. Six passengers were hospitalized, three of them are children," said Daria Buyanova, a spokeswoman for the TFR.
A 12-year-old boy and two women, aged 56 and 76, died. All of them were in the interior of the minibus and fell onto the road at the time of a hard collision.
