The trike was driven by a neighbor who learned to fly on YouTube.
A gift from her husband Yuliya Ermolaeva will remember for a lifetime. In August, the couple had an anniversary, and the man decided to give his wife an original gift - a hang glider flight. It didn’t take long to look for a pilot: the Ermolaevs’ neighbor Sergey often flew on his trike and was glad to help the couple.
However, during the landing, the aircraft lost control and crashed into the trees at speed. Ermolaeva received serious injuries - an open fracture of the nose, a concussion and multiple bruises. She is still recovering from her injury.
After the accident, it turned out that Sergei learned to fly on YouTube. He did not have an aircraft license, did not receive a permit to operate, and was generally self-taught. At first, the neighbors tried to negotiate for the pilot to pay for Yulia's treatment, but the neighbor felt that money was being pumped out of him. After the disaster, the UK opened a criminal case for providing services that did not meet safety requirements, which caused serious harm to health.
