A resident of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who works for Kibali gold mine, tried to earn extra money dishonestly. 
To remove the extracted smuggled gold from the workplace, the man hid the prey in the most seemingly safe place - he swallowed his. But the worker did not take into account that the door through which he would need to leave the mine area, equipped with a clever alarm system with lasers. Modern technologies worked with a bang and immediately gave a signal about that the man hid the precious metal somewhere. 
The thief was taken to a local hospital, where, using ultrasound, doctors found inside his body 81 grams of gold. However, operational intervention was not required. An unusual patient was given special means by which the metal after a while came out of it bodies naturally. It seems that this is the case when you can say that gold does not smell.
