The girl made a fence out of cling film to test her Great Dane's reaction.
A long-legged Great Dane was distraught when his owner played a prank on him by blocking the doorway in their house with plastic sheeting.
3-year-old Zeus was confused when his owner simply jumped over the film. He, not wanting to waste precious strength and energy to overcome the barrier, took it and crawled under it - even despite the fact that the girl lowered the barrier lower.
Jewel Newport, 20, from Alberta, Canada, shared a TikTok video of her “Invisible Challenge,” in which people block off passages in their homes with cling film to test their pets’ reactions to it.
In the video, she did a similar thing with her Great Dane dog named Zeus, who refused to follow a person, even though the girl showed by example how to deal with an obstacle. The animal didn’t give a damn about the challenge even after the owner lowered the barrier, joining Jewel only by performing a tricky maneuver - sticking under the stretch film.
“I’ve seen this challenge on TikTok before, since Zeus can just step over plastic film without him knowing it, I thought this challenge would be interesting for him,” the dog’s owner said.
“I never thought he would try to crawl under. I've since challenged him using other products, such as tin foil, but he still got under [the obstacle]."
The challenge video, in which Zeus took part, eventually went viral, receiving more than 18 million views on TikTok. and almost 3 million likes.
“Secret: all big dogs think they are small, and all small dogs think they are big,” wrote one user who watched a funny video of a dog.
