This is what quarantine did to water in Venice (4 photos + 3 videos)

18 March 2020

Venice is one of the most desirable cities in the world to visit. Famous buildings, Italians and boats sailing along the canals. But in recent years, tourists have complained of an unpleasant odor due to algal blooms and the garbage that people leave behind. But what has changed

Due to the coronavirus, in early March, Italy declared a quarantine and closed its borders - tourists and local residents are not allowed to go out onto the streets unless absolutely necessary.

We observed photographs of “empty” attractions in Italy, and users noticed another feature - the water in Venice became crystal clear in just a week.

Now you can see ducks, swans and even dolphins there.
