The family returned to the burned house 2 months later, in which the dog began to growl and dig at the floor (6 photos)
In March 2017, an American family lost their home in a fire. He literally burst into flames like a match! And all this happened so quickly that people didn’t even have time to come to their senses!
When firefighters carried the dog out of the burning building, the family members were overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude, but immediately asked the question: “Where is Ringer?”
It seems their beloved cat wasn't so lucky... But don't worry, and even though things look pretty bleak, that wasn't the end of the story!
When the family realized that the house had disappeared under the suddenly furious fire, the cat had already disappeared somewhere in the flames.
“We looked everywhere for Ringer, we lifted all the furniture, we looked at the beds, we looked in every corner and every possible hiding spot for this cat,” said firefighter Ronald Wise.
But she was nowhere to be found. The dog was almost immediately taken out into the air and given oxygen because she had inhaled too much smoke.
That's all the firefighters could do for this family. They left this place to try to forget the terrible tragedy.
It was only 8 weeks later that the Marr family decided to visit the old home, and when they arrived back in South Haven, Michigan, they got a real shock.
The dog Chloe was the first to worry: she seemed to have broken free, starting to frantically sniff and dig at the ground, which seemed to still smell of burning. A minute or two... and suddenly the quiet cry of a cat was heard!
People managed to lure the animal out from under the floorboards with difficulty, and only after they had obtained food for it as bait. When the dark muzzle came to light, everyone was amazed, because it was their own Ringer!
She spent 2 months of her life underground and lost half her weight due to malnutrition... But it was her!
The animal's owner, Christine Marr, said:
“This cat is a miracle. She was here for two months without food or water. And Chloe just found her in this hole. We assume she ate bugs and spiders and stuff in there.”
“I think it’s phenomenal that Chloe found a cat! This is simply amazing. She’s a real hero!” said the fire chief.
Ringer had a lust for life, and Chloe decided to find her.
