Then the owner gave one of them to other owners. And now, four years later, she decided to release the horse into the field where two of her friends still lived. The horse breeder could not even imagine what would happen!
Sue Blagburn raised these three horses in the English town of Muston's Field. The horses, whose names were Arthur, Harry and William, grew up together and were best friends. Alas, during a long traveling training in hippotherapy, Sue had to give up Arthur. For four years, he competed at high level competitions at a prestigious equestrian school, while Harry and William went on a trip with their mistress.
Four years later, Sue settled in Ferle, Lower Sussex. Her business took off and she decided to bring Arthur back. Having bought him, she sent Arthur to the field to his old friends. She wondered if they would recognize each other after a long separation, but she could not even imagine what would happen!
The horses instantly recognized each other. Slowly getting closer, they began to gently rub their heads. After a few minutes of tender greeting ceremony, they galloped joyfully across the field.
Sue was amazed at this tender friendly meeting. “I knew they would get to know each other,” she says. “But it was much deeper than I thought was possible for horses, and that really amazed me.”
The horses expressed their joy at the meeting more than one day. Every now and then they would race together or start rolling on the grass. Now the three of them work at Sue's Horse Adventures, which teaches horse riding to adults and children. And their friendship continues!
It turns out that horses, like people, form friendships that last a lifetime. And this also adds to our respect for these noble animals!
