The dog trusted the people who saved her puppies
The homeless dog Rainbow never wanted to be with people. But the worst happened: 48 hours after her puppies were born, a storm with record rain hit California. Rainbow hid the newborn tsutsiks in the bushes, but the family had little chance of survival. I had to, reluctantly, trust people.
Finding the small puppies, the rescuer carefully picked one up and dragged him outside. Rainbow became alert and... licked the baby’s nose. As if calming - everything will be fine. One by one, people took out the puppies and each received a farewell kiss from their mother. The dog itself remained in the den and did not know where its children were being taken.
Rainbow did not resist when she herself was pulled out of the bushes and placed in a cage. The rain was getting heavier and it was time to get out of the street and into a safe shelter. The result of the rescue operation: a thin, high-maintenance, but generally healthy mother dog and eight pretty puppies.
In memory of the conditions in which they appeared at the shelter, they were named after the elements: Thunder, Breeze, Fog, Flash, Lightning, Storm, and the two smallest ones - Droplet and Drizzle. Rainbow became Rainbow and before our eyes turned into the friendliest dog in the world, who seemed to want to immediately compensate for all the days of life without human care.
