A pile of garbage on one of the beaches became home to three puppies (6 photos)

Chrissy Beckles is the founder of Project Sato, which helps homeless animals in Puerto Rico.

Together with their team, they often walk around local beaches in search of stray dogs. Not far from one of the beaches, they noticed a large pile of garbage in which something was moving...

It turned out to be three puppies that someone had thrown there, carefully placing a cloth under them. The kids had no water or food, and it was very hot outside.

One of the puppies was larger than the others, but there was a close bond between the kids and the rescuers decided that they were brothers.

The largest puppy was named Maximus. He had problems with his paws: he could not walk and constantly fell over on his side.

Veterinarians did an x-ray, after which it became known that both of the puppy’s legs were broken.

It remains unknown what exactly happened to these crumbs before they ended up in a landfill.

One of Maximus's paws was especially badly damaged: every bone in it was broken. The veterinarian was not sure that it would be possible to save this paw, but began treatment.

A little more time will pass and Maximus will be sent to the USA, to his new adoptive family.

People know what this puppy has gone through and are ready to attend water therapy with him so that his paws are strong and don’t bother him in the future!
