Irish Solo Dances are a group of solo dances that emerged in Ireland at the beginning of the 20th century and are described in detail by the Gaelic League. They are performed to traditional Irish tunes - jig, reel and hornpipe.

The two lead dancers in the video below, Nicola Byrne and Alan Kenefick, set the room on fire within seconds. However, when the dancer suddenly appeared at the 2nd minute with a whole group of dancers, it created a real sensation!
