Eric Holiday, a member of the animal rescue group Val's Pals GSD and Large Paw Rescue, was making his way through the slums of Houston. His partner Sam Arki was with him - the men were in a hurry to find one strange dog that had been spotted here a few hours ago. As an eyewitness told them, it was not just a dog, but walking bones that did not crumble only thanks to the incredible efforts of the poor fellow.
The last time the dog was seen had fallen near the corpse of some small animal - either the sufferer was trying to eat at least something, or he simply could not walk anymore... Eric and Sam combed the street up and down, they crawled through all the nooks and crannies, but the dogs were nowhere to be found did not have.
Having lost hope, the volunteers had already decided to return to their car, when they suddenly noticed it...
She lay on some kind of heap, merging with it, and did not even try to get up. “It’s still in my mind to this day,” Eric recalls. “When I removed the sticky leaf from her muzzle, a wound opened, from which blood flowed down her cheeks...” The volunteer immediately realized that this morning would be the dog’s last morning on Earth...
But they arrived on time! In order not to lose the meager chance of salvation, the dog was wrapped in a blanket and quickly taken to the clinic. At first they thought it was a 6-month-old puppy - the animal weighed so little! But later they determined that the dog was about 3 years old.
The baby was named Frannie. Doctors have never seen a worse condition!
The dog was prescribed IVs and injections, he was fed small portions every 4 hours, he received endless bandages... And how happy everyone was when he gradually began to recover! )
When Frenny finally became prettier and stronger, it became clear that he was a very kind and beautiful German Shepherd.
The dog was adopted into a new family. Now he is called the “antidepressant rabbit” - because the pet is able to jump and play with his owners all day long!
Homeless life also left its mark - Frannie is distrustful of strangers. However, he is very affectionate towards his own people.)
The dog recently got a brother - a rescued dog with a similar story. The whole big family is very happy! Of course, such excellent watchmen will never give offense! )
Isn't it an amazing transformation?
