How to catch all the fish in a lake in 15 minutes (14 photos)
Just outside the village of Bamba in northern Dogon County, Mali, there is a small sacred lake where fishing is only allowed once a year, during a unique ritual called Antogo. Once upon a time, this region was a paradise covered with greenery, and the lake fully provided the local population with fish.
Despite the fact that climate change has turned the area near Bamba into a barren desert, the small lake still harbors fish. The authorities establish a special day when everyone can catch their own fish. The lake is completely empty in fifteen minutes.
