A well-known Chechen woman from the ATO forces assessed the likelihood of a major war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation
Press secretary of the “Kyiv” regiment, ATO fighter and wife of Adam Osmaev, Amina Okueeva, said that today’s events in Ukraine are reminiscent of the forerunner of the First Chechen War.
She reported this in an interview with Obozrevatel.
She recalled that when the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria declared its independence, provocations began to destabilize the situation. According to her, the peak of these provocations occurred in 1993-1994, before the start of a full-scale war.
Okueva emphasized that at the moment the likelihood of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine remains, although it has decreased compared to 2014.
According to Okueeva, Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to at least create a land route to the occupied Crimea, and, at maximum, to capture all of Ukraine.
As Apostrophe reported, Amina Okueeva called the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, a puppet of the Kremlin.
