On the British island of Jersey, located in the English Channel, amateur archaeologists have found a treasure of 30 to 50 thousand Celtic coins with an estimated value of 3 to 10 million pounds sterling (4 to 15 million dollars).
This find could be the largest in European history.
Tens of thousands of gold and silver coins were packed together so that they resembled a huge ingot weighing three-quarters of a ton.
According to experts, the treasures lay in the ground for more than 2 thousand years. Two treasure hunters spent 30 years searching for them - one of them once heard a legend about ancient coins hidden under a tree and decided to find them at any cost.
