Visiting a neighbor’s dog—and sounding the alarm
Two neighbor girls often visited Brina Garcia to play with her dog, Teddy. One day, the owner was at work, and a fire alarm was going off inside the apartment. The girls rang the video doorbell and connected with her.
Brina heard the alarm as well and asked them to check if it smelled like smoke. At first, the girls didn't smell anything, but then they confirmed a burning smell. Soon, a man approached the door and opened it; smoke poured out of the apartment.
In the follow-up, the owner showed Teddy: the dog was fine. She wrote that a pot had been burning on the stove and prepared gifts for the girls in gratitude for their help. The original post is dated January 2024; here is the full footage from the doorbell camera.
