A bear escapes the heat in a kiddie pool

Katie Cole could only marvel at the unusual visitor that showed up in the backyard of her home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
The black bear hadn't stopped by without a reason—he clearly took a liking to the water-filled kiddie pool. Reasoning that the cool water offered a welcome respite from the heat, the bear promptly climbed right in. Katie noted that the pool wasn't actually meant for children, but for her dogs; she didn't mind, however, letting the four-legged visitor take a dip while her own pets were away.
As it turned out, the bear’s visit was brief. After cooling off a bit, he climbed out of the water and went on his way. That said, Katie wouldn't be surprised if the animal decided to return.
