A 1989 Ford Taurus sedan that appeared on the popular MTV car show "Pimp My Ride" has ended up at Pick-Your-Part, a California salvage yard. The car is in poor condition, but overall, it's almost exactly the same as it was when it was restored for the show.
The Taurus appeared in the sixth episode of the fourth season of Pimp My Ride, which aired in 2005. At the time of filming, the car belonged to Russia Minor, who was planning a career in Hollywood.
The sedan was a bit battered, but the show managed to transform it into a rather impressive car. Among other things, all the door opening mechanisms were replaced, with the front doors opening upward and the rear doors sliding sideways on specially made guides.
The Taurus also received a custom dashboard and new front seats, and a platform with large subwoofers was installed in the rear bench seat. Since the owner dreamed of becoming a stuntwoman, a professional stunt cushion was installed in the trunk.
