A drunk driver broke into the Florida marathon route.

In Florida, a 62-year-old driver, heavily intoxicated, drove onto a sports competition course filled with runners, cyclists, and spectators. He ignored police orders to stop and continued driving along the closed road, posing a danger to others.

To prevent a potential tragedy, police were forced to use a PIT maneuver—a special maneuver used to force a vehicle to a stop. The driver was detained. It was later discovered that this was the man's third drunk driving arrest in the past ten years. He faces several serious charges.
