After learning of his wife's divorce intentions, the husband destroyed the house with an excavator

Divorces are often unpleasant, but in Eric Pierves' case, the breakup with his wife was even more devastating.

When a man from Butler County, Pennsylvania, heard his wife announce her intention to divorce, he climbed into the cab of an excavator and began demolishing the house where he lived with his wife and children at the time. His wife (almost ex-wife) and children were inside the house, but fortunately, no one was injured.

The woman called 911, and 48-year-old Eric, having completed the demolition, entered the remains of the house, packed a duffel bag, and headed into town, where he was apprehended by police. It's unclear what the aggrieved husband was hoping to achieve, but it is known that the devastating incident with the excavator occurred after a drinking binge.
