An American pilot won a plane at a show and began transporting drugs in it.
Why else would a pilot and blogger need a private jet, if not to transport people?
Blogger and pilot Jabari Brown, who rose to fame thanks to his appearance on the YouTube show of another popular blogger, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), has been arrested in Paraguay. In December 2025, Brown won the "100 Pilots Compete for a Private Jet" sweepstakes and received a Hawker 400 jet worth $2.4 million as a prize. He decided to use the prize in a rather unusual way – instead of transporting people, he decided to transport drugs.
Brown and three other US citizens were detained by agents of the Anti-Drug Secretariat at a hotel in Asunción (the capital of Paraguay) on May 31. All of the detainees are suspected of international drug trafficking.
According to Paraguayan authorities, law enforcement officers intercepted a small private jet in a hangar at Luque Airport, carrying 261.6 kilograms of marijuana with an extremely high THC content. The plane carrying the drugs arrived from Miami. It is believed the American drug dealers were planning to sell the marijuana in Brazil. Experts estimate that the amount of weed could have fetched around $3.66 million there.
Media reports indicate that Brown has already been released from custody at the request of prosecutors. His three comrades remain behind bars. The investigation continues to determine the role of Brown, better known online by the nickname Captain Trazy. His actions may have been deliberate or may have resulted from third parties using the flight. Neither Brown nor Paraguayan authorities have yet released any details. However, it is known that, under Paraguayan law, those arrested face serious prison sentences.
