The Rolling Stones announced their new album, Foreign Tongues, and premiered the single, "In The Stars."

18 May 2026

The legendary Rolling Stones are officially back with new music: on May 5, the band released the single "In The Stars" and revealed details of their next studio album, Foreign Tongues. The album is scheduled for release on July 10 – it will be the band's first full-length release in three years. Interest in the album had been building in advance: in April, the band unexpectedly unveiled the limited-edition track "Rough and Twisted" under the moniker "The Cockroaches," and then began posting mysterious Foreign Tongues posters around the world. The band finally revealed all the details at a special event in New York City, hosted by TV host Conan O'Brien.

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards once again wrote the bulk of the material for the new release, and Andrew Watt, who previously worked on Hackney Diamonds, produced the album. The recording also features Paul McCartney, Robert James Smith, Steve Winwood, and Chad Smith. The album will also feature previously recorded parts by the late drummer Charlie Watts.
