Special Purpose Chicken: The Chinese have developed a "combat arsenal" for pet birds (3 photos + 1 video)
It seems Chinese innovators have decided that ordinary chickens are too defenseless in the face of harsh reality.
Photos of an extremely bizarre invention have gone viral online – removable "arms" for birds that transform an ordinary laying hen into a B-movie hero.
Now poultry can not only stroll around the yard, but do so with the air of a determined mercenary.
Designers have developed a whole line of accessories: from classic "pistol hands" that give the chicken a gangster-like appearance, to close-combat kits that include miniature sabers, axes, and even a tiny ladle. The latter is apparently intended for those hens who prefer the path of a stern chef or simply plan to cook their own grain.
The structure is attached to the bird's back and, according to its creators, doesn't interfere with its daily activities. However, the visual effect is unforgettable: the chicken, axe in hand, looks like it's about to lead a rebellion against the entire food chain.
Why does the world need this? Just for laughs.
