A 992-generation Porsche 911 Carrera convertible was stolen in Los Angeles. It was found stripped to such a state that only true experts could recognize the model. Restoring the car is pointless, notes Carscoops.

The 992-generation Porsche 911 entered production in 2019 and is still in production. The car is attractive to thieves in any country due to its high cost, especially in the US, where this type of crime is very common. Therefore, the theft of such a car is not surprising.

The condition in which the car was discovered missing is surprising. Essentially, all that was left of the sports car was a bare body with a few parts still intact. The scale of the theft is such that restoring the Porsche makes no economic sense.

The thieves removed the engine, transmission, body panels, suspension and interior components, glass, sunroof, optics, and electronic components. When photos of the remains of the car appeared online, not everyone was able to correctly identify the model.
