A man removed a seat from someone else's bicycle

A Singapore resident watched CCTV footage and observed an elderly man carefully examining a bicycle tied up near his house (while riding it himself), then returning on foot and stealing the seat.
Perhaps the thief intended to steal the entire bicycle but was unable to unlock it, thus senselessly stealing the seat. Nurputeri also speculates that the stranger was specifically after the seat, as her brother had only recently installed a new one. The elderly man may have wanted a more comfortable fit for his own bicycle. Whatever the case, police contacted the victims a few days later and informed them that the seat had been found and would soon be returned. However, no arrests were reported.
