The Double Life of the "Perfect Man": A German Actor Destroyed His Wife's Reputation with Deepfakes for 14 Years (3 photos)

In the age of deepfakes and digital blackmail, we're accustomed to blaming anonymous hackers or obsessive fans for leaks. However, this story proves that sometimes the most dangerous enemy is the one sleeping in your bed.

To understand the scale of the story: Christian Ulmen is a German TV and film star who spent years cultivating the image of the ideal, "progressive" man. In Europe, he spent years building the image of the "new man": progressive, gentle, and an active advocate for women's rights and feminist principles.

His wife, Colien Ulmen-Fernandez, is a popular German TV presenter, actress, and model. She was the face of the music channel VIVA and hosted numerous entertainment shows. Together, they were Germany's "golden couple," until Christmas 2025 put everything in its place.

For almost 14 years, Colien lived a nightmare. Deepfakes featuring her face and intimate leaks regularly surfaced online. While the presenter struggled to save her career and reputation, Ulmen publicly supported his wife, cursing "toxic hackers" and giving lectures on women's rights.

The denouement came when Kolen, driven to desperation, decided to involve the police cyber department in the investigation. Fearing a real prison sentence, Ulmen turned himself in. It turned out that he was the author of all the fake accounts and pornographic images.

The family had moved from Germany to sunny Mallorca several years ago, so Kolen struck her first blow there, filing a complaint in a Spanish court. However, the scandal immediately spread to Berlin: the German prosecutor's office immediately reopened its own investigation, and politicians began talking about loopholes in the legislation.

The trial revealed terrifying details. Ulmen not only created the fakes, but also traded them on closed platforms. The actor also confessed to a peculiar fetish. He loved messaging strangers on instant messengers under the name "Kolen," engaging them in lewd conversations and observing their reactions.

The contrast between his public image and reality was shocking. The man who taught Germans respect for women, behind closed doors, used neural networks as an instrument of torture for the person closest to him. Accusations of digital abuse were supplemented by testimony of past physical assaults.

Now the woman is demanding not only a divorce but also a prison sentence for her ex-husband.
