Stopped to relieve himself – and miraculously survived

On Columbia's North Highway, a car veered off the road at high speed and crashed into a bollard near the shoulder, where it burst into flames. The explosion occurred just inches from a parked motorcyclist who had stopped to relieve himself; he miraculously escaped unharmed.

The driver of the car died at the scene, and one of the passengers was rescued by bystanders but also died. Police have not yet released details about the identity of the deceased or the cause of the accident.
