A "Barbecue University" has opened in China. Yueyang Barbecue College in Hunan Province is a specialized program at the university, created jointly by the university and the barbecue association.
They teach not just how to grill meat, but also how to select ingredients and marinades, work with coals and grills, master various grilling techniques and flavor combinations, and more. Upon completion, graduates receive a state diploma and professional barbecue certificates. The program is currently recruiting students.
