The world's longest escalator has opened in China. Its total length is an impressive 905 meters.
The world's longest outdoor escalator has opened in Chongqing. Design work on the "Goddess Wushan" escalator began back in 2002. After several technical delays, the structure has finally opened. It's 905 meters long, with a vertical drop of 242 meters.
Locals used to spend an hour climbing to shops, work, or hospitals, but now it takes just 20 minutes. The project has become a lifesaver for residents and an impressive attraction for visitors.
