The world's longest zipline, ZipRider, is located near Hoonah, Alaska. It stretches 1,625 meters, and the starting point is 405 meters above sea level, higher than the Empire State Building's observation deck.
The descent begins with a steep drop: six parallel cables allow riders to plunge simultaneously through the mist above the pine forests. During the flight, speeds reach 100 km/h, and for a minute and a half, breathtaking views of the icy fjords and coastline open up, where the route concludes with a gentle braking.
