Robo-rescuers on the beaches of Dubai

Chinese robots will assist lifeguards on Dubai beaches. A drone, which acts as a life preserver, is the first to arrive to rescue a drowning person. A robotic tugboat then rushes to its destination.

These robots are said to reach victims five times faster than humans and can pull up to 500 kg from the water. The plan is to introduce these robotic rescuers to all popular beaches.
