In reality, behind this unusual appearance lies a story of a brutal struggle for survival, where the life of a small, fluffy bundle of fur was at stake. 
It all started with a diagnosis that until recently would have sounded like a death sentence for cats. The kitten was diagnosed with a rare form of ocular infectious peritonitis. This infection caused severe inflammation inside the eyes, blocking the drainage pathways.
The outcome is predictable: intraocular pressure skyrocketed. Kittens have extremely elastic whites, so under the pressure of the fluid, the visual organs began to swell literally before our eyes. Add to this the corneal ulcers, and you have a full spectrum of suffering for one small organism. 
This mysterious-looking kitty is not an AI creation. She survived ocular FIP! FIP is a mutated form of feline coronavirus that can cause severe inflammation in a kitten. In Dorito's case, this inflammation affected her eyes.
Doriito was prescribed a course of aggressive antiviral drugs using the most modern protocols. Specialists literally pulled the animal back from the brink of death. Her blood pressure was stabilized, the ulcers healed, and the infection finally gave in.
Dorito is now officially healthy and has even found a forever home. The only problem is that her eyes remain enormous. Now the kitten resembles an alien and requires special care. Due to the size of her eyelids, her eyes don't close completely, so her owners have to regularly use special drops.
