The North Pole isn't what it used to be!: Santa and Mrs. Claus were stopped for speeding (5 photos + 1 video)
An elderly couple from Ohio, USA, decided to surprise their daughter by dressing up as Santa and Mrs. Claus. The parents were rushing to a meeting and were speeding. A Fulton County Sheriff's deputy stopped the offenders and couldn't help but smile.
"Santa!" the officer shouted, shining his flashlight into the driver's side window.
In a panic, the grandfather admitted he had a gun.
"Santa has a gun?" the officer laughed. "Tough times."
"We have to protect ourselves," said Santa.
"And the North Pole isn't what it used to be!" added Mrs. Claus.
"Santa, do you have a driver's license?" the deputy asked, even though he knew the man's real name.
The driver admitted he hadn't looked at the speedometer and, as he struggled out of the car, muttered, "Santa's 100 years old."
The police officer joked that now his grandfather would deprive him of his presents.
"Santa, slow down," the deputy asked.
The deputy replied, "I'll sic Rudolph on you!"
At Mrs. Claus's request, the deputy and Santa Claus posed for a souvenir photo.
The trio exchanged greetings: "Merry Christmas!" — and drove away.
"Ho-ho-ho, hold on! Santa and Mrs. Claus were speeding over Fulton County. They were given a friendly reminder to obey the speed limit even on a sleigh. Christmas is coming as planned! We wish you a safe and happy holiday!" the Sheriff's Department wrote.
