The brawl began when CHP faction deputy chairman Murat Emir attacked AK Party MP Mustafa Varank. The conflict soon escalated into a mass brawl involving other members of both parties.
The brawl was stopped by the intervention of colleagues. Despite the incident, the 2026 central government budget bill and the 2024 final accounts bill were passed, with 320 MPs voting in favor and 249 against.
