The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has named the winner of the Ferenc Puskás Award for the most beautiful goal of the year for 2025. 25-year-old Argentine Santiago Montiel of Independiente scored an overhead kick against Independiente Rivadavia in an Argentine league match.
The goal earned Independiente a 1-0 victory.
The best goal of the year was determined by a jury of FIFA Legends and fans via voting on the FIFA website.
