Every day, a cat named Paisley would sit by the glass door of his enclosure at the PAWS shelter in Texas and look out, waiting for his future owners. 
Every day, the cat would sit by the glass door of his enclosure and look out longingly, waiting for those who would take him into their homes. The shelter staff decided to help Paisley—and all they had to do was share his story on social media.
That same day, a woman named Betsy contacted PAWS and said her family was mourning the recent death of a black cat. Betsy fell in love with Paisley after seeing him, so she immediately applied to the shelter to adopt him.
Very soon, Betsy and her husband arrived to pick up their new pet, and they were thrilled to see that Paisley (renamed Shadow by his owners) now had plenty of other fun activities to do instead of staring sadly at the door of his pen.
