On the night of December 12th, The Game Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles, honoring the best games released this year. However, The Game Awards isn't just about awards. The ceremony traditionally became a venue for major announcements. One of these was a new game from Larian Studios, creators of the legendary games Divinity: Original Sin (1, 2) and Baldur's Gate 3. The game is called Divinity and is accompanied by a dark trailer. 
In the trailer, townspeople gather in one place to watch a sacrifice.

This will be a new installment in the Divinity series, but not a sequel to Original Sin. Developers at Larian Studios have announced that the new game will be larger and more ambitious than their previous title, Baldur's Gate 3.
The developers of Divinity are not yet ready to even name the game's release date.
