For thirty years, a resident of Chengdu, China, had no serious illnesses. He occasionally experienced abdominal pain, but it went away with medication. Only a month ago, he began experiencing constant bloating and pain, prompting him to seek medical attention. During a gastroscopy, a black rectangular object was discovered in the patient's stomach.





A man named Deng recalled: "In 1991 or 1992, I was drinking with a friend. He challenged me to swallow a lighter on a dare, and I immediately did it."

He added, "I hoped it would come out on its own."

Dan's wife and son were shocked by the story.



At first, doctors tried to remove the lighter with tweezers, but the metal was too slippery.

The doctor said, "The surface of the object was so smooth, the tweezers kept slipping no matter how hard we tried to hold it. It was impossible to get a grip."

After some thought, the doctors decided to use a condom to hold the lighter.





Using forceps, they carefully inserted the condom into the patient's abdomen. Then they grabbed the lighter and carefully removed it through his mouth.

The entire operation took about 20 minutes.

The foreign object was approximately 7 cm long and covered in a black, decomposing substance.
