A lion caught a lioness with another male

A skirmish between two lions was captured on film in Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve. The leader of the pride caught a lioness with another male.

Osupaat, the leader of the Hammerkop pride, discovered one of his lionesses mating with a large male named Olepolos, who belongs to the rival Salas clan.

The leader usually patrols the territory with his sons, but that day he was alone. Osupaat pounced on the intruder, disregarding his size, and put him to flight. The lioness attempted to intervene in the fight but ultimately retreated.

The video's creator speculated that Osupaat would return, possibly bringing his brothers with him. The reluctance of Olepolos' sons to come to their father's aid is considered a sign that they are unprepared to defend the territory.
