Many stars have had the unique and, in their own way, unbearable experience of portraying passion with their co-stars. 
It would seem that kissing on camera should be easier if your partner is your real-life lover. But that's not the case. Hollywood celebrities shared how they manage to fake convincing sex onscreen to give their characters a spark of genuine chemistry.
1. Nicole Kidman's Mental Exhaustion 
"Big Little Lies"
In "Big Little Lies," Nicole Kidman played Celeste, a mother of two who entered into abusive intimate relationships to please her abusive husband, Perry (Alexander Skarsgård). Filming these psychologically challenging scenes was incredibly difficult for the actress. She felt defenseless, vulnerable, and at times even deeply humiliated.

She particularly remembers one scene from Episode 7 of Season 1:
I remember lying on the bathroom floor, unable to get up between takes. I just lay there, broken and crying. And I remember director Jean-Marc Vallée coming over and covering me with a towel at some point. I was lying in half-ripped underwear, practically naked on the cold floor.

"The Beguiled" (2017)
While filming a passionate love scene with Colin Farrell for "The Beguiled" (2017), Kirsten Dunst kept thinking: "When will this end?"
I'm lying on the floor and they're ripping my clothes off. I don't like it. Honestly, I just thought, "I just want this to be over with."

3. Charlie Hunnam's Sheer Disgust

Charlie Hunnam has stripped naked in front of the camera countless times, but he hates doing sex scenes. There are two good reasons for this: his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, hates seeing him with other women, and he himself is simply disgusted.

Jennifer Lawrence once admitted that she even had to resort to alcohol for her first sex scene—with Chris Pratt in the sci-fi drama "Passengers" (2016).
Pratt shared with reporters all the details of filming this nerve-wracking episode. And, in particular, about how he tried to create the most comfortable environment for Lawrence:

I feel like I have a responsibility. Besides, I've been in this situation several times. Essentially, my job is to minimize discomfort. Make sure there's no one else on set, that the set is closed, periodically ask if everything is okay, and do everything possible to reassure my partner that she's okay.
Despite the anxiety that builds up before such a scene, you immerse yourself in the process and realize there's nothing sexual about it at all. It's just very awkward. But that's part of our job, and you just do what you can to support the other person and try to ease their discomfort.
5. Margot Robbie's Painful Awkwardness

Margot Robbie's first sex scene was with Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013). And the actress's experience wasn't exactly pleasant, to say the least:

Kristen Stewart described filming her infamous sex scene in "Twilight" with then-boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson as excruciating. The main reason was the scale of the task. The director intended it to be the most epic love scene of all time.
